Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol Teststrips (x25)
Our Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol teststrips are admired for their accuracy. Recommended by leading cardiovascular doctors, laboratories, health professionals and consumers.
With only 1 strip and a few drops of fingertip blood. In less < 1minute you will know your total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and Cholesterol Ratio!
The results have laboratory accuracy and ensure continuous monitoring of all parameters: Total cholesterol CHOL, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Triglycerides and cholesterol ratio.
For professional use or self-testing using fingertip blood.
Specifications and Features:
This 3-in-1 test strip measures the concentrations of Total Cholesterol (CHOL), High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Triglycerides (TRIG) in the blood. The meter then calculates LDL, Cholesterol Ratio (CHOL/HDL) and CHD* values.
*CHD: Besides the normal meter readings, a Cardiac Heart Disease Risk Assessment (CHD) is also possible to evaluate the risk of heart attack, stroke and heart disease. By creating a profile, entering gender, age, (non)smoker / (non) diabetic and blood pressure, you can see if you have an increased risk of cardiac and / or vascular disease. CHD calculation function is only for professional use, refer to the Mission® Cholesterol Monitoring System User’s Manual for detailed instructions.
Note: We always recommend that you contact your doctor or physician in case of (too) high values and / or high-risk or to discuss the overall results. High cholesterol levels can in the long term lead to serious complaints and disorders. With a healthy (re) lifestyle you influence your own cholesterol levels. Moderate your alcohol intake, stop smoking, eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.

Why is the Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol test the best choice?
The Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol meter is admired for its accuracy. Used daily by thousands of consumers, and health professionals. It’s easy to use, needs only a small fingertip blood droplet and is the most reliable and accurate meter on the market. Suitable for both professional and home use
User-Friendly:
- Only 1 strip to measure all cholesterol values
- User-friendly design for easy use
- Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol strips are individually wrapped
- Immediate results in < 1 minute
- CE0123 certified for home use
Instructions for use:
See your User’s Manual for complete instructions for blood sample collection before use. Watch our instructional videos to optimize your testing results; videos on YouTube and on our website.
Before you start make sure you have the following:
- Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol Meter
- Safety Lancet to puncture the fingertip
- Capillary transfer tube to collect the blood
- Cholesterol Teststrip 3-in-1
- Alcohol wipe
When to measure?
Measurement is best done in the morning on an empty stomach. The value of the blood triglycerides are affected by sugars in the blood, which then influences the LDL calculation.
Doing a test:
Before your first use of the meter we recommend that you watch the “how to do a test” video.
Make sure to read the Quickstart Guide, which explains step-by-step how to do a test. .
This information can also be found on the Cholesterol testing page on our website
- Turn the meter on with the code chip in the meter.
- Wait for the meter to flash the test device symbol.
- Remove the test device from the foil pouch.
- Put the test strip into the meter in the same direction as the arrows printed on the test
- Wait for the blood drop symbol to flash.
- Clean the finger with an alcohol wipe and make sure the alcohol dries completely before pricking the finger.
- Puncture the finger with the safety lancet.
- Wipe of the first drop of blood.
- Collect the blood with the capillary.
- Empty the capillary on the strip.
- Results will show within 1 minute.
Important: It is essential that you fill the capillary with blood up to the black fill line. To puncture properly always use the Mission safety lancets.
Caution: Do not press the capillary tube, as it fills by itself. If you do not get enough blood into the capillary for the first time. Then start again. Put the partly filled capillary down. Create a new drop of blood. Then hold the capillary slightly tilted down and with the opening upwards and touch the droplet until you have collected enough blood.
Tip:
It might take a while to get used to pricking your finger and collecting the blood with the capillary. We made 2 videos so you can see how its done.

Accuracy
Precision (CV%):
CHOL: 100-500 mg/dL (2.59-12.93 mmol/L) (≤ 5.0%)
HDL: 30-100 mg/dL (0.78-2.59 mmol/L) (≤ 5.0%)
TRIG: 100-650 mg/dL (1.13-7.34 mmol/L) (≤ 5.0%)
Accuracy (Bias%)
CHOL: 100-500 mg/dL (2.59-12.93 mmol/L) (≤ 15%)
HDL: 15-30 mg/dL (0.39-0.78 mmol/L) (≤ ± 5mg/dL or ≤ ± 0.13 mmol/L); 30-100 mg/dL (0.78-2.59 mmol/L) (≤ 15%)
TRIG: 45-100 mg/dL (0.51-1.13 mmol/L) (≤ ±15mg/dL or ≤ ± 0.17 mmol/L); 100-650 mg/dL (1.13-7.34 mmol/L) (≤ 15%)
** Clinical studies show that the measured values correspond very well with laboratory tests. The meter and strips can be used by both consumers (test with blood from the fingertip) and professionals (testing in veins blood, serum and / or plasma – with or without anti-coagulants).
Principle and reference values:
Mission® Cholesterol Test Devices use a timed-endpoint method to measure the Total Cholesterol (CHOL)/High Density Lipoprotein (HDL)/Triglycerides (TRIG) concentrations in whole blood, serum or plasma. The concentration of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) is calculated by the values of CHOL, TRIG and HDL. The system monitors the change in absorbance at 635 nm at a fixed-time interval. The change in absorbance is directly proportional to the concentration of lipid in the specimen.
CHOL: In the reaction, cholesterol esterase hydrolyzes cholesterol esters to free cholesterol and fatty acids. The free cholesterol is oxidized to cholesten-3-one and hydrogen peroxide by cholesterol oxidase. Peroxidase catalyzes the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with 4-aminoantipyrine and phenol to produce a colored quinoneimine product.
HDL: The dextran sulphate/Mg2+ on the test device precipitates the chylomicrons, VLDL and LDL, leaving HDL in the specimen. The cholesterol concentration of this HDL is then determined enzymatically, the same as CHOL.
TRIG: Triglycerides in the specimen are hydrolyzed to glycerol and free fatty acids by the action of lipase. A sequence of three coupled enzymatic steps using glycerol kinase (GK), glycerophosphate oxidase (GPO), and horseradish peroxidase (HPO) causes the oxidative coupling of 4-aminoantipyrine to form a blue dye.
LDL: When the concentration of TRIG in the specimen is equal to or lower than 400mg/dL, LDL concentration can be calculated by the meter with the following equation:
LDL = CHOL – HDL – TRIG/2.2 (mmol/L); LDL = CHOL – HDL -TRIG/5 (mg/dL)
Calculated LDL is an estimation of LDL.
