Dry them completely. This helps ensure a clean blood sample and prevents contamination.\n<h3><strong>Step 2: Insert a Test Strip<\/strong><\/h3>\nTake one Swiss Point of Care test strip from the vial or pouch. Insert it into the meter\u2019s strip port until it stops. Wait until the blood drop symbol appears on the display.\n<h3><strong>Step 3: Prepare the Lancing Device<\/strong><\/h3>\nLoad a new sterile lancet into the lancing device. Adjust the depth setting if needed. Place the device firmly against the side of your fingertip and press the release button to obtain a drop of blood.\n<h3><strong>Step 4: Apply Blood to the Test Strip<\/strong><\/h3>\nHold the blood drop to the sample tip of the test strip. The strip will automatically draw in the blood. Ensure the check window fills completely. If the countdown does not start, you may add a second drop within 3 seconds. If still unsuccessful, discard the strip and use a new one.\n<h3><strong>Step 5: Read the Result<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe meter will count down and display your blood glucose level. Results are shown in mmol\/L or mg\/dL depending on your settings. Symbols such as \u201cHypo,\u201d \u201cHyper,\u201d or \u201cKetone?\u201d may appear if values are outside normal ranges.\n<h3><strong>Step 6: Dispose Safely<\/strong><\/h3>\nUse the strip ejector to remove the used test strip. Dispose of the strip and lancet safely in accordance with local regulations.
