Step 1: Insert the Batteries<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Open the battery compartment on the back.<\/li>
  • Remove the plastic protection strip (if present).<\/li>
  • Insert four batteries, paying attention to the plus (+) and minus (\u2013) markings.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Step 2: Set the Date and Time<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
    • The meter will prompt you to set the year. Use the center button to confirm.<\/li>
    • Then choose the month (M), day (D), hour, and minutes, with the outer buttons. Confirming each step by pressing the middel button.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      Step 3: Configure the meter<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
      • Hold the center button for 3 seconds until the meter beeps and enters \u201cSet\u201d mode.<\/li>
      • Press right twice to enter full setup and press center to confirm.<\/li>
      • Select between mmol\/L and mg\/dL. Most countries use mmol\/L. Confirm.<\/li>
      • Select 24-hour or 12-hour clock. Confirm your preference.<\/li>
      • Choose how the date is displayed:
        1. Y\/M\/D
        2. D\/M\/Y (common in Europe), etc. Confirm your choice.<\/li>
      • Enable Numbering
        Choose if each result should be numbered. Select \u201cOn\u201d to track up to 99 measurements. Confirm.<\/li>
      • Enable Sound
        Choose whether the meter beeps during use. Recommended: \u201cOn\u201d. Confirm.<\/li>
      • CHD Setting
        CHD relates to cardiovascular risk markers. Leave it Off unless specified by your healthcare provider. Confirm.<\/li>
      • Sample Type
        Choose BL (blood) for home use.
        Labs may use SE (serum), but for most users, BL is correct. Confirm.<\/li>
      • Exit Setup
        Press left once until you see \u201cELt\u201d (meant to say \u201cExit\u201d).
        Press center to confirm and exit. Your meter is now ready to use.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
