The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Swab Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection the nucleocapsid protein antigen from COVID-19 in nasal swab specimens directly from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within the first seven days of the onset of symptoms.

The COVID-19 Antibody Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection and differentiation of IgM and IgG antibodies to COVID-19 in human serum, plasma, venous whole blood, or capillary fingertip blood.

It is intended for use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to COVID-19, indicating recent or prior infection.

What is the advantage of this COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Swab Test?

The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Swab Test is easy to perform and will provide you with accurate results in less than 20 minutes. This means that you will know if you are actively infected with COVID-19 immediately. You will not have to wait for the specimen to be examined in a laboratory.

How reliable or accurate is the COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Swab Test?

It is possible for this test to give a negative result that is incorrect (false negative). Most common cause of a false negative is that testing is done too soon. It is advised to test at least 24 hours after the first symptoms appear. When the test result is negative but the symptoms remain, the test should be repeated after three days.

QUICK GUIDE

Collect specimen

Antigen specimen is collected by inserting a disposable swab into one nostril. Antibody specimen is retrieved by collecting blood with a capillary after a finger prick.

Extraction with buffer

Antigen specimen will extracted in a tube with the buffer fluid. Antibody specimen will extracted direclty on the testkit with buffer.

Specimen on testkit

Antigen specimen mixed with exctraction fluid is dropped on the testkit. Antibody specimen will be mixed with the exctraction fluid on the testkit.

WAIT for results

The results for the antigen tests are ready within 15 to 20 minutes.
