Prevent a deadly heart attack?

Every year more than 5,000 people die of a heart attack. This amounts to 14-15 people per day. Almost 60% of the cases are men. Every year almost 35,000 people report at the hospital with a heart attack. The survival probability is estimated at almost 25%. This number must be up, but how? One word: Movement.

People who move often have better blood flow to the heart, even if they have a heart attack. People who move often are 47 percent less likely to die of a heart attack (heart attack) than someone who does not exercise, say researchers at the University of Copenhagen.

During the research, researchers from the University of Copenhagen followed 14,223 participants. The study showed that 1664 participants had a heart attack, of which 425 died immediately. This amounts to a survival probability of almost 75%! Furthermore, it emerged that the people who regularly move have a 32% chance of surviving the attack. Those who move the most have almost a 50% chance of survival.
