Insert four batteries, paying attention to the plus (+) and minus (–) markings.

Step 2: Set the Date and Time
- The meter will prompt you to set the year. Use the center button to confirm.
- Then choose the month (M), day (D), hour, and minutes, with the outer buttons. Confirming each step by pressing the middel button.
Step 3: Configure the meter
- Hold the center button for 3 seconds until the meter beeps and enters “Set” mode.
- Press right twice to enter full setup and press center to confirm.
- Select between mmol/L and mg/dL. Most countries use mmol/L. Confirm.
- Select 24-hour or 12-hour clock. Confirm your preference.
- Choose how the date is displayed:
1. Y/M/D
2. D/M/Y (common in Europe), etc. Confirm your choice. - Enable Numbering
Choose if each result should be numbered. Select “On” to track up to 99 measurements. Confirm. - Enable Sound
Choose whether the meter beeps during use. Recommended: “On”. Confirm. - CHD Setting
CHD relates to cardiovascular risk markers. Leave it Off unless specified by your healthcare provider. Confirm. - Sample Type
Choose BL (blood) for home use.
Labs may use SE (serum), but for most users, BL is correct. Confirm. - Exit Setup
Press left once until you see “ELt” (meant to say “Exit”).
Press center to confirm and exit. Your meter is now ready to use.
